Product Introduction
Gloss meters are widely used in the papermaking, printing, paint, and coating industries to measure the gloss of object surfaces. The instrument's geometric, spectral, and photometric characteristics conform to relevant standards.
The 75° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for coated paper and paperboard, and can also be used for uncoated paper and paperboard or low-printing-gloss paper and paperboard samples;
The 20° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for high-gloss paper and paperboard such as cast-coated paper, waxed paper, and varnished paper, and is also suitable for high-printing-gloss paper and paperboard samples and high-gloss inks and paints;
The 45° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for measuring the gloss of metal-coated paper and paperboard such as aluminum foil paper and vacuum-metallized paper;
The 60° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for various types of paper, coatings, and paints.
Standards Applied:
GB/T 8941: Paper and paperboard—Determination of specular gloss (20°, 45°, 75°);
GB/T 9754: Paints and varnishes—Determination of specular gloss at 20°, 60°, and 85° for paint films without metallic pigments;
ISO 2813: Paints and varnishes—Determination of specular gloss at 20°, 60°, and 85° for nonmetallic coatings;
