Introduction:
The paper and paperboard absorbency tester is a commonly used laboratory testing instrument developed by our company in accordance with the requirements of the national standard GB/T1540-2002 "Determination of water absorbency of paper and paperboard (Cobb method)". It is mainly used to determine the surface water absorbency of sized paper and paperboard, including corrugated paperboard.
Standards:
GB/T1540-2002 "Determination of water absorption of paper and paperboard (Cobb method)" etc.
Technical Principles
1. Cobb Absorption Value of Paper and Paperboard Surface: The amount of water absorbed by the surface of paper and paperboard per unit area under certain pressure and temperature within a specified time, expressed in g/m².
2. The specific formula is as follows: C = (G2 - G1) × 100. Where: C - Cobb absorption value; G2 - mass of the sample after water absorption; G1 - mass of the sample before water absorption.
3. The paper and paperboard absorbency tester is a standard instrument for testing the surface absorbency of paper and paperboard, also known as a paper surface absorbance weight analyzer. This instrument uses the Cobb test method, one of the various methods for absorbency testing, and is therefore also called a Cobb absorbency tester.
