ASTM D732 Shear Punch Fixture

HST HK-732 ASTM D732 Shear Punch Fixture is suitable for testing the shear strength of plastics and conforms to the relevant requirements of ASTM D732. The fixture is simple to install and easy to operate, but requires the use of a compression clamp.

Application Range:

Specimen length and width: 50x50mm, φ50.8mm

Operating Instructions:

1.Place the sample between the fixed plate and the base and tighten the hex bolts. Then place the clamp onto the compression clamp on the testing machine.

2.Move the crossbeam in the testing machine to maintain the upper and lower compression positions appropriately.

3.Reset the force value to zero.

4.Start the test.

Routine Maintenance of Fixtures

If the laboratory or surrounding environment contains excessive amounts of dust, corrosive fumes, or hazardous substances, protective measures must be taken for the fixtures.

1. Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to any moving parts of the fixture.

2. If the fixture has been unused for an extended period, routine maintenance should be performed:

2.1 Remove the fixture from the testing machine;

2.2 Apply rust-preventive oil to the fixture body and wrap it in oiled paper for storage.
