HST MMG-10 High-Temperature High-Speed Friction and Wear Tester is a multi-functional friction and wear testing machine independently developed by our company. It is mainly applied to simulate three-body wear tests under high-temperature vacuum or gas-shielded environments.
In addition to covering all application functions of the American FALEX Model 6 Multi-Specimen Test Machine, it integrates the testing capabilities of high-temperature end-face wear and high-temperature ball-on-disc wear. This instrument serves as an essential simulation evaluation tester for the research and development of various high-temperature resistant materials, high-temperature coatings, medium-to-high grade hydraulic oils, internal combustion engine oils and gear oils. By adding dedicated control programs, it can also conduct standard evaluations in accordance with ASTM D4172-94 and ASTM D2266-91 Standard Test Methods for Wear Preventive Characteristics of Lubricating Fluids (Four-Ball Method), and complies with China Petrochemical Corporation’s SH/T 0189-92 Standard Test Method for Wear Preventive Characteristics of Liquid Lubricants (Four-Ball Method).
Under specified contact load, the tester supports rolling, sliding, and combined sliding-rolling friction modes at ambient temperature, high temperature, or under controlled protective atmospheres. Equipped with a stepless speed regulation system, it can evaluate the friction and wear performance of lubricants, metals, plastics, coatings, rubber, ceramics and other materials at ultra-low or ultra-high rotational speeds. Particularly, its testing performance for three-body wear under high-temperature and gas-shielded conditions reaches an internationally advanced level.
End-face and ball-on-disc friction pairs are supplied as standard accessories, and the machine boasts strong expandability for additional friction pair modules, including: low-speed ball-on-disc testing (large/small discs, single-pin / three-pin configurations), long-duration four-ball anti-wear testing, four-ball rolling contact fatigue testing, three-piece bronze-ball lubrication testing, ball-on-disc testing, slurry abrasion testing, lip seal torque and stick-slip friction testing for rubber sealing rings. The high-temperature end-face module is widely adopted in scientific research institutes.
